John Ratcliffe gave his allegiance to the Ukrainian military.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe
During the hour of Senate hearings, the situation in the world was now safe, John Ratcliffe, a member of the US Central Intelligence Agency, stated that Ukraine's Armed Forces “have been underestimated in many ways.”
As Ukrinform writes, the CIA chief determined that the Ukrainian representatives would rely on “fighting with their bare hands, which will happen because Ukraine will not have a mind suitable for reaching the world.”
Ratcliffe assesses the negotiations between Ukraine, the United States and Russia as such that, in the event of success, “they will not allow both sides to give up everything they want and achieve their maximalist goals.” With this, he recognizes the superiority of the Russians on the battlefield.
US intelligence agencies also admit that in times of unsatisfactory regulation of the war, the leaders of Ukraine and Russia can give precedence to a prolonged conflict.
