On March 28, Orthodox believers honor the memory of Saint Hilarion the New, the miracle worker. This saint is prayed to for healing from diseases, improving eyesight, and protection from evil. According to the old style, the day of remembrance of the martyrs is celebrated, among whom Agapius is mentioned.

Today, in Ukraine, Geographer's Day is celebrated. This is a professional holiday of people who study geography and are engaged in important research in the political and environmental processes of the country.
