The court ruled that the Trump administration would preserve listings on Signal

During the first half of this year, officials of the Trump administration were chatting about US strikes on Yemen in the Signal chat, where a journalist from The Atlantic was kindly added. On Thursday, February 27, the federal judge ordered to save the information.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine via CNN.

As ZMI writes, Judge James Boasberg praised the decision in the framework of the call to save data, submitted after the disclosure of information about those members of the Cabinet of Ministers discussing military plans in the Signal messenger.

The US Department of Justice said that the administration is already on track to realize savings for the period from 11 to 15 February.

What is known

It seems that this year, the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, Jeffrey Goldberg, wrote that the US President's National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz, quietly added him to the chat, and the high-ranking members discussed Washington's plans to attack the Houthis near Yemeni.

It was later revealed that the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, had provided information to the Pentagon a few years before the operation about whether American drones would fly and whether the United States would launch its missiles.

CNN reported that Hegseth revealed classified information that resulted in “massive breaches of operational security,” while details of Washington's operation were revealed even before the start.
