Real Madrid and Ukraine national team goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has caught the attention of Italian giants AC Milan, writes IZ with reference to ukrfootball. As reported by SpazioMilan, the Rossoneri are considering the possibility of transferring the Ukrainian during the summer transfer window.
Milan management is already working on finding a potential replacement for Mike Meignan, whose contract with the club expires on June 30, 2026. Negotiations to extend the contract are not yet complete, which forces the club to consider options in case the French goalkeeper leaves.
One of the main candidates for the position of goalkeeper of Milan is Luca Chevalier from the French Lille. However, Andriy Lunin also appears on the list of possible newcomers. According to the source, the Serie A club is ready to consider the option with the Ukrainian, if the Madrid giants are open to negotiations regarding the transfer.
Lunin's future will largely depend on Mike Mengian's decision. If he extends his contract with Milan, interest in the Ukrainian may be removed from the agenda. However, if Mengian leaves, Lunin's transfer will become one of the priorities for the Rossoneri.
This season, Andriy Lunin has played 10 matches for Real Madrid in all competitions, conceding 13 goals and keeping four clean sheets. The Ukrainian's contract with the Madrid club runs until June 30, 2030, and his market value, according to Transfermarkt, is 20 million euros.
