Netanyahu vows to put pressure on Hamas after fire proposal

This week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted Hamas to unite and its leaders to leave Gaza. They also tried to put pressure on the grouping.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine via Reuters.

The prime minister's statement came after the earlier grouping was ready for a truce. Netanyahu said that Israel wants Hamas to disband and its leaders to be allowed to leave Gaza. He did not provide the necessary details regarding the presence of Israeli troops in the enclave, but reiterated that the military and Hamas powers are in danger of being undermined.

“We ensure secret security in the Gaza Strip and are allowed to implement the plan (of US President Donald Trump – ed.), the plan for voluntary emigration. This is a plan that we do not accept, we are ready to discuss it at any hour,” Netanyahu said.

Speaking to high-ranking officials, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhra said that the prime minister's comments to Israel were a recipe for “endless escalation” in the region.

Speaking about emigration, Trump initially advocated relocating all 2.3 million residents of Gazi to countries such as Egypt and Jordan, turning Gaza into a resort that would belong to the United States. However, the same country was not ready to accept the population, after which Israel declared that any departure of the Palestinians would be voluntary.

Guess what, yesterday it became clear that the Hamas movement was well suited to start a fire in Gaza, as it turned out. It was presented through intermediaries and the transition stage could be transferred.
