It is important for the Ukrainian military and its allies to monitor the situation in the Black Sea. For which there is political will and sufficient technical capabilities.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, which has sent information to Dmitry Pletenchuk, a riverman of the ZSU Navy.
Having noted that monitoring the situation in the Black Sea is carried out by Ukrainian sailors and other types of military personnel in various ways, monitoring surface, underwater and windy situation.
“So it’s important to remember that the Black Sea is not without Ukrainian-Russian food. There are also three countries here, three of which are NATO members, and they obviously carry out all the monitoring functions that allow to straighten out the situation in full communication, and everything is within the framework of international law,” said Pletenchuk.
In addition, the riverman noted that there is no shortage of technical staff from monitoring the truce in the Black Sea. In other words, it is possible to follow the pre-modern fire regime, even though the water area of the Black Sea is not so great anymore. The only thing needed is the visibility of political will.
“There may be a ship's warehouse, a damaged component – in the Black Sea there are constantly present flights that monitor the situation. Notwithstanding the satellite functions, we are really satisfied with the wide range of instruments,” he said Pletenchuk.
Fire between Ukraine and the Russian Federation
On February 23-24, in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), negotiations between the US delegation and representatives of Ukraine and Russia took place, during which the fire was discussed.

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia is trying to take control of the food corridor near the Black Sea, but the ZSU will not allow the aggressor to continue to work.
