Silpo launched the first installment payment service for products in Ukraine

The Silpo supermarket chain, together with its related financial project Bank Vlasny Rahunok, have launched the first Buy Now Pay Later service for purchasing food in Ukraine, IZ writes with reference to Forbes. The new payment format is already available in eight retail outlets of the chain in various cities of the country.

The installment model, which Silpo implemented under the name “ Payment by installments ”, allows customers to pay for their purchases in installments. This innovation is focused on the daily expenses of Ukrainians, which is a unique solution for the local market. Similar solutions have long existed abroad: in particular, the Buy Now Pay Later services were first introduced by Affirm and Klarna in the food retail sector .

The launch of the “Payment by Shares” service was a response to the growing consumer demand for flexible financial instruments for everyday purchases. The project is currently in pilot mode, but this summer Silpo promises to expand the functionality to the entire country.

We remind you that we previously wrote that the Cabinet of Ministers adopted important changes to the traffic rules for motorcyclists and moped riders.
