This was reported by RBC-Ukraine via a post on the Twitter account of the first Vice-Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko.
“What does the new meeting with the United States mean for Ukraine? It’s complicated, but not critical. For us, we are missing 10%. There is no significant difference between Moldova and the EU 20%,” Sviridenko said.
She added that during 2024, Ukraine exported 874 million dollars to the United States, of which 363 million fell on chavun and 112 million on pipes. Overnight, goods worth 3.4 billion dollars were purchased from the United States.
However, the Ukrainian rate on American goods will remain low, for example, the rate on cars is 10%, and on coal and naphtha – 0%. More than 600 different categories of Ukrainian goods are exported to the United States, including 65 types of products worth more than a million dollars. In connection with this, Kiev has a chance to build on other people’s minds as a reliable ally and partner, and some fair deals will play out against our lands.
“If everything is lost, then the American universal product will hit mainly small producers. Therefore, we are already working on this so that Ukraine has better minds,” Sviridenko explained.
US trade war
Yesterday, the 2nd quarter, the head of the White House, Donald Trump, signed a decree to introduce import tariffs for many US trading partners. For other countries, the mitas became richer: 34% for China and 20% for the European Union (EU).
Zokrema States have introduced 25% tariffs on all cars purchased in other countries in the world.
This time the Ministry of Trade of China, commenting on the decisions of the States, called for an urgent withdrawal and threatened with “counter-attacks”.
