The Russian military announced the “burial” of the village of Basivka in the border region of Sumy region.
Riverman of the State Cordon Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko, in a commentary for RBC-Ukraine, stated that the enemy is continuing his disinformation campaign by burying hundreds of settlements in the Sumy region and breaking the cordon.
In his words, the Russians do not rely on the tactics of recruiting small assault groups so that the stench crosses the cordon with Ukraine. The main goal of such groups is to accumulate forces and expand the battle zone across the territory of Ukraine.
“This is being fixed directly in the village of Novenke-Basivka. At the moment, small assault groups are being maximally reduced by sub-units of the Defense Forces,” Demchenko said. 
The situation in the Sumy region
Recently, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian intelligence had recorded Russia’s preparations for new offensives. In his words, the Russians may try to re-attack the Sumy, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzka regions.
For the sake of the reservists of the Ground Forces of Ukraine, Ivan Timochko, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, shared an assessment of the forces and potential threats on the side of the Russian Federation before a possible new offensive.
It is also true that those in the Office of the President of Ukraine also announced that Russia was preparing a new offensive. Accordingly, the Russian army plans to increase its strength by 150 thousand people. This is the equivalent of approximately 15 motorized rifle divisions.
