Trump wants to spend 1 trillion dollars on the US army

US President Donald Trump said that his administration praised the country's operating budget of close to 1 trillion dollars.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine via Bloomberg.

“We are saving pennies, otherwise we will need an army, and we have to be strong, because there are so many rotten forces,” Trump said at the White House during a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

He added that his administration praised the budget, which became “the largest budget we have ever praised for the army.”

The head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, also reacted to this by posting an upcoming post on social media:

“SHVIDKO: the first TRILLION dollars to the budget of the US Department of Defense. President Donald Trump is reinvigorating our armored forces – and SHVIDKO,” he wrote.

Bloomberg writes that the Trump administration has not yet published a budget statement for the 2026 fiscal year, as it remains within the framework of the current financial plan. The project will not reach the budget until the end of spring

Vidannya also recalled the former head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, who recommended that the United States increase its defense budget by approximately 50 billion dollars, which is equal to the projected figure for the 2026 fiscal year. In the near future, the Pentagon's budget could exceed 1 trillion dollars.

As Bloomberg writes, Hegset was one of the biggest beneficiaries of Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) for short-term losses. In addition, the Pentagon has a budget of 850 billion dollars per river and approximately 2 million military personnel, the largest in the region. The government ordered the reduction of unassigned categories of expenditures of the US Department of Defense and military services by 8%, redirecting these funds to higher priority programs, such as missile defense.

The Pentagon is expelling the coronavirus, otherwise the US defense will enforce

Apparently, this past week it became clear that Pete Hegseth was shrinking the civilian population in the US Department of Defense. According to Bloomberg, the final memorandum has already been signed. It is reported that the Pentagon may soon reach 76 thousand civilians out of 950 thousand civilians.

Previously, RBC-Ukraine reported that according to CNN, the Pentagon is dismantling the new Golden Dome defense system in order to protect the United States from long-range missile threats. As a matter of fact, the Trump administration is not spending money to implement the project.
