Starting January of next year, car owners in Ukraine will have to pay somewhat larger sums for registering their “vehicles”.

About how, due to an increase in the cost of living (to 3,028 hryvnia) from 2024, the amount of mandatory pension collection will also increase, writes NBN, citing on the Facebook account of the association of domestic automakers “Ukravtoprom”.
In particular, with the arrival of the new year, Ukrainian drivers will be forced to pay the following fee amounts:
- at the cost of a passenger car motor transport not exceeding or equal to 499 620 hryvnia – the contribution amount will be 3 percent;
- for the cost of passenger vehicles exceeding 499 620 hryvnia, but not more than 878 120 hryvnia — the contribution will be 4 percent;
- if the cost of a passenger vehicle is more than 878 120 hryvnia —the contribution will be from 5 percent.
It is worth noting that in the latter situation, that is, when a vehicle costs more than 878 120 hryvnia, with a contribution of 5 percent, the amount of the fee will be no 43 900 hryvnia.
