Head of State Vladimir Zelensky commented on Moscow’s statements about its readiness to negotiate with Ukraine to end hostilities. The President explained why the Kremlin is sending appropriate signals.
In an interview with The Economist, the Ukrainian leader said that he and all residents of our country see missile and drone attacks of the Russian Federation every day, and not its “steps towards peace.”
According to guarantor, he sees only the steps of a terrorist state, NBN reports.
The President explained that Moscow is signaling its desire to freeze hostilities, as the Western media write about, not because the Russians are righteous, but because the occupiers do not have enough ammunition or trained fighters.
The head of state has no doubt that the aggressor country wants to use the pause in hostilities to recover, in order to “turn the page” of this war with all its might.
Zelensky added that a demonstration of weakness encourages war criminal Vladimir Putin to spread aggression to other states, for which European countries in particular should be prepared.
Recall that former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev accused Kiev of refusing dialogue with Moscow, saying that the Kremlin allegedly never abandoned the negotiation process.
