Head of State Vladimir Zelensky spoke about holding elections in Ukraine during the war. The President explained why we can forget about the counter-offensive and liberation of the territory in the event of organizing a vote.
The Ukrainian leader, in an interview with The Economist, commented on the lack of alternative to intensifying mobilization activities in Ukraine, NBN reports.
As the president explained, mobilization – this is not only a matter of sending fighters to the front, we are talking about mobilizing all the efforts of the country, since this is the only way to liberate the occupied territories and protect the state.
Zelensky believes that Ukraine has now switched to internal politics and, if so will continue, it is necessary to hold elections, for this to change legislation. At the same time, in such a scenario, you can forget about the counter-offensive and de-occupation of the regions.
Recall that in early December the head of state stated that he was ready to hold elections, but Ukrainians do not support this idea.
