The majority of German citizens want Chancellor Olaf Scholz to leave his post, as they see the head of the German Ministry of Defense, Boris Pistorius, as the new head of government. This is confirmed by the results of a sociological study.
The INSA public opinion research institute said that the majority of Germans want the resignation of Scholz, who, in their opinion, should be replaced by the head of the defense department Boris Pistorius, NBN reports with reference by Bild.
According to the results of a poll, 64.3% of German citizens see the current Minister of Defense as the new head of government. At the same time, 24.6% of respondents do not support Scholz's resignation, and 11.2% could not answer this question.
The study showed that 47.9% of supporters of the Social Democratic Party of Germany are in favor of the appointment Pistorius as chancellor until the next general election. At the same time, 47.1% of respondents are against this idea.
Earlier, the media published the results of a survey that showed whether residents of the European Union states are really tired of the war in Ukraine and are not ready to support the country in the future.
