The Russian Telegram channel Don Mash, citing the words of eyewitnesses, reported that in Shakhty they heard an explosion at the Avangard polyester plant, after which a fire started there . Footage of thick black smoke at the enterprise was published on the Internet, NBN reports.
Later, the Kremlin Snuffbox Telegram channel, citing sources in the government of the Rostov region, stated that the explosion occurred in the FPV production workshop -drones, which the company sold to the occupying army.
An interlocutor at the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the version of blowing up the workshop was being considered. It is known that as a result of the “bavovna” the plant lost more than 200 ready and almost ready attack UAVs.
