About , what list of products will an ordinary citizen of Ukraine be able to afford on this modest salary, in comparison with the year 2023, writes NBN, citing material from the Picodi Internet portal.
As an example, a conditional consumer list was taken, including bread, milk and other food products that satisfy the minimum needs of an adult, and this is:
- 10 liters of milk —379 hryvnia;
- 10 loaves of bread—241 hryvnia;
- 1.5 kilograms of rice cereal—88 hryvnia;
- 2 dozen chicken eggs— 120 hryvnia;
- 1 kilogram of hard cheese—300 hryvnia;
- 6 kilogram of pork/beef—139 hryvnia;
- 6 kilograms of apples/bananas/citrus — 291 hryvnia;
- 8 kilograms of tomatoes/onions/garlic/potatoes—260 hryvnia.
The total cost of the above set of products in the current month amounted to 2818 hryvnia, which is 21.9 percent more than last year—expenses amounted to 49.3 percent of the “minimum wage” after taxes. At the same time, in 2023 this ratio was set at 42.8 percent. Thus, the inflation rate in Ukraine exceeded the growth dynamics of the minimum wage.
