The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov, covering the route from Moscow to New York, was on the road for 12 hours 45 minutes. This is because its plane flew over countries unfriendly to Russia, that is, it flew along the northern route.

As NBN reports, the Russian propaganda agency TASS writes about this.
During the flight no unforeseen circumstances arose.
As far as we know, Lavrov will take part in meetings of the UN Security Council on the Middle East and Ukraine in New York.
Earlier before this, a representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova informed that Sergei Lavrov will visit New York from the twenty-second to the twenty-fourth of January to take part in one UN Security Council debate on the Middle East and a meeting on Ukraine.
Lavrov is also expected to attend participation in several bilateral meetings.
Recall that we previously wrote about how Lavrov spoke about Ukraine’s negotiating position.
