Military counterintelligence of the SBU reported that the offender commanded a detachment of militants during the period of machine-gun attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Marinka area.

The investigation established that the defendant is a resident of temporarily captured Makeyevka. In May 2022, he decided to voluntarily join the ranks of the occupation «Oplot». There he received the position of rifleman, after which he found himself on the front line of the eastern front.
As a result, the defendant was transferred to the group of Russian troops – «Vostok», which is part of the country's 1st Army Corps -aggressor.
On behalf of the invaders, he was a direct participant in numerous assaults on settlements near Marinka, for which in September 2023 he received the post of commander of a militant unit.
Taking into account the materials of the Security Service, the court accepted decision to find the attacker guilty under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under martial law).
