The head of the Hungarian government, Viktor Orban, believes that if Donald Trump had led the United States two years ago, a full-scale war would not have broken out in Ukraine. In addition, the representative of Budapest is convinced that the controversial American politician can end the fighting.
The Hungarian Prime Minister, in an interview with the French publication Le Point, noted that in the 2016 US elections everyone expected Hillary Clinton to win. According to Orban, he then said that Europe needed Trump, NBN reports.
The representative of Budapest considers him one of the most successful American leaders in foreign policy. The Prime Minister noted that the 45th President of the United States did not start a single war.
The politician said that if Trump had been the head of America in February 2022, then the Russian-Ukrainian war would not have started. Orban stressed that he does not currently see anyone in Europe or the United States other than the controversial American politician who would be a strong enough leader to stop the fighting, adding that “the world has a name – Donald Trump.”
Recall that the 45th head of the United States has repeatedly promised to quickly end the Russian-Ukrainian war. Representative of the Russian Presidential Administration Dmitry Peskov commented on Trump's statements.
