As NBN reports in his interview with CBS, Sullivan said that Washington should not interfere in the issue of the likely dismissal of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
Verbatim from Sullivan’s statement:
The American government does not should somehow intervene in this matter. As a result, we stay away from such personnel decisions.
Sullivan added that such a decision is the sovereign right of Kiev, as well as the right of the president to make his own personnel decisions.
We have made it very clear that we do not intend to interfere in this particular decision. We told the Ukrainians about this directly – Jake Sullivan summed it up.
