About the fact that yesterday, February 3, fighters of the Territorial Defense Forces, who defend the Northern operational zone in the Sumy direction, were able to effectively stop another attempt by the enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) to “leak” across the state border of our country, writes NBN, referring to the information posted in the Telegram channel of the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Sergei Naev.
According to Naev, yesterday, at about 6:20 p.m., in the vicinity of the Glukhiv community, defenders noticed the movement of an armed group consisting of 10 people. Defense Force fighters immediately entered into a shooting battle, simultaneously calling in an anti-sabotage unit from their battalion. In addition, literally a few minutes later, mortars joined this battle and covered the area where the enemy’s “manpower” was concentrated with heavy fire.
However, having suffered damage, the enemies decided to change tactics, dividing into two groups: the first, under the cover of Russian artillery, evacuated the “200s” and “300s”, and the second tried to bypass the strong point with the flank, but the arriving Ukrainian counter-sabotage group threw the “liberators” away from the border.
