About the reason why the North Atlantic Alliance intends to take control over the supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, writes NBN, citing Handelsblatt material.
As it became known, the project regarding the transfer of Ramstein under the responsibility of the Alliance was developed with the participation of US Presidential National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. But the media believe that such a step would be “explosive,” since since the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, NATO has placed considerable emphasis on the priority of supplying weapons to our country on the basis of sovereign approvals by individual countries -members, and not only according to the program of the defense bloc.
However, as it turned out, the above concept is supported not only by Eastern European countries, but also by Great Britain and France, contrary to the skeptical position of Germany, which believes that such a step by NATO will serve “in favor” of the Kremlin’s narratives, in particular, about the alleged war of the Alliance with the Russian Federation.
It is assumed that all of the above changes were provoked by NATO fears regarding the likely return of the scandalous to the White House ex-President Donald Trump.
