Budanov’s deputy, in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, said that Russian occupation forces are now conducting a strategic operation in the southwestern direction, where and hostilities are underway, NBN reports.
As the general explained, the second direction of the two, which Moscow identified even before the start of a full-scale war, is the western one, which includes the Kiev region, Chernihiv region, Sumy region and Kharkov region. To begin a strategic operation in these areas, Putin’s army needs additional troops and means.
According to a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Military District, since the “second army of the world” does not have the required amount of forces, it cannot launch another large-scale and powerful offensive operation. Skibitsky added that now the Russian Armed Forces do not have a reserve, so the invaders are trying to create one.
Previously, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexey Danilov assessed the possibility of a second offensive by Putin’s army on the capital.
