The fact that the agents introduced by Ukraine play a very significant role in the confrontation with the terrorist state of the Russian Federation, writes NBN, citing the explanation of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov, sounded in an interview with The Telegraph.
According to Budanov, during the period of hostilities, informants are tasked with not only obtaining fresh information, but also with regard to conducting special operations. For example, thanks to the actions of the intelligence network, Ukraine was able to find out in advance about the invasion of the Russian Federation, planned and carried out on February 24, 2022.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU added – if the intelligence services of our country relied only based on electronic, radio-technical or digital intelligence data, then the Armed Forces of Ukraine would not have been prepared for an invasion to the extent that was recorded in February of the year before last.
Budanov summarized:
We help partisan groups operating on the territory of the Russian Federation, support them, interact with them, sometimes express our requests or set certain tasks.
