On Thursday, February 1, the heads of the EU member states, during a special summit in Brussels, were finally able to agree on the allocation of 50 billion euros to Ukraine as part of the “Ukraine Facility” initiative, designed for 2024 -2027, however, funding for our country must still be approved by members of the European Parliament at the plenary session scheduled for February 26-29 this year.

About the fact that representatives of Kiev and Brussels, today, On February 24, we discussed the next steps regarding the above-described Ukraine Facility initiative, NBN writes, citing a statement published in the official Telegram channel of Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal, recorded following a meeting with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
According to Shmygal, cooperation between the EU and Ukraine in the defense industry sector was discussed today, which made it possible to coordinate the next stage of the Ukraine Facility program, which provides for the allocation of funds in the amount of 50 billion euros in ;for 4 years.
In particular, von der Leyen promised the initial tranche, in the amount of 4.5 billion euros, the European Union will be able to send no later than next month, that is, March.
