Due to the fact that the US Congress has not approved the allocation of a new package of financial assistance to our country, there is already a significant shortage of funds in the Ukrainian state budget, which can be covered by raising tax rates for citizens.

About whether parliament is considering the issue of increasing taxes for ordinary people, writes NBN, citing the explanation of the people's deputy from the Servant of the People, who is a member of the tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Olga Vasilevskaya-Smaglyuk, voiced during the telethon on the TSN YouTube channel.
According to Smaglyuk, raising taxes for the population is not foreseen, since such changes contradict the principled position of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on the refusal to strengthen “tax burden” not only for the business sector during the war period.
The chosen one from the “Servant of the People” emphasized:
Therefore, we must now reassure the population – we do not currently consider raising taxes as the main scenario, because the president said to look for alternative ways.
It is assumed that the state budget deficit will be able to be paid off with overtime revenues from ;customs, fiscal structures or revision of the amounts of excise duties and taxes on the use of subsoil.
We previously wrote about the fact that the Rada disclosed some details of the introduction of “personal taxation” of all citizens.
