Sandu recalled that recently “PMR deputies” called on the Kremlin to “protect” the unrecognized Transnistria, and Russian propagandists circulated horror stories about the possible annexation of the region, NBN reports with reference to NewsMaker.
According to her, Moscow wants to scare the citizens of Moldova, given that the country is in an election year. The Russian leadership is interested in having corrupt officials in power in Chisinau with whom it can negotiate and bribe, as has been the case for many years.
The head of state emphasized that Moldova must not succumb to the deception of the Russian Federation and maintain unity, so that the Kremlin cannot realize its plans. Sandu added that the Russians today will not be able to do anything in Transnistria, since this requires a change of power in Chisinau.
Recall that ISW told how Moscow can respond to the appeal of the “PMR deputies.”
