As NBN reports, Shephard Media’s material states that Belgium intends to transfer another package of military assistance to Ukraine . Its cost will reach 412 million euros.
As is known, in addition to 300 LMV multi-purpose armored vehicles, Belgium will also transfer mine trawls to Ukraine.
The published message states that “ The new military assistance initiative, which is being implemented by Belgium and the Netherlands, has become part of the BELEUX cooperation, the goal of which is to increase the military potential of the Ukrainian state.”
The publication also writes that Belgium will provide basic training, and the Netherlands will provide on-the-job training for Ukrainian crews of mine ships. Among other things, Belgium is ready to provide military assistance to the Ukrainian state totaling 611 million euros throughout 2024. Approximately half of this amount was allocated for additional artillery ammunition.
Recall that we previously wrote that the EU foreign ministers supported the allocation of five billion euros to Ukraine in 2024 for military assistance.
