Speaker of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov commented on reports of a new offensive by the Russian Armed Forces in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, answering whether the size of the enemy group near the northern border has changed.

A representative of Ukrainian military intelligence said that the Russians are deliberately spreading rumors about a second offensive “the second army of the world” in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, NBN reports with reference to the publication LIGA.net.
The speaker of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU recalled that previously the enemy had repeatedly carried out information operations about an attack on our country from the Republic of Belarus . Now the Russian Federation is scaring Ukrainians with messages about a repeated offensive from the north.
Yusov noted that the threat remains constant, so the Defense Forces are monitoring the formation and redeployment of groups of Putin’s troops on the territory of the terrorist state. In addition, work is underway to strengthen the border, so there will be no surprises for the defenders.
The press secretary added that the number of Russian troops on the border with the Sumy and Chernihiv regions has not changed – 19 000 invaders are still concentrated there .
Earlier, the head of the Sumy OVA spoke about the risks of invaders breaking through the border in the region.
