The Washington Institute for the Study of War explained what lies behind the statements of Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin about the key role of the Federal Security Service in the “protection” of the Russian Federation.

The ISW analytical material notes that after the “re-election “The head of the Kremlin made his first speech at a meeting of the board of the FSB of the Russian Federation on Tuesday, March 19, reports NBN.
The dictator thanked the intelligence officers for successful operations in Ukraine, for repelling the attacks of “terrorists” on the Russian Federation, under by which he meant a raid of Russian volunteers in the Belgorod and Kursk regions, as well as for suppressing attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of a terrorist state.
According to American experts, Putin’s statements about the “special” role of the FSB in “ensuring security” and “protection of the sovereignty” of the aggressor country – a reminder to Russians that the Kremlin has support from the security forces, whose apparatus it is trying to expand after the “march of justice” of the Wagner PMC in June last year.
ISW noted , that the head of the Russian Federation demonstrated favor towards the Federal Security Service, given that he usually pits security forces against each other so that no single structure can accumulate more power.
