Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Freedom of Speech Yaroslav Yurchishin spoke about the connection between Telegram and the intelligence services of the Russian Federation and named the condition for blocking the messenger on the territory of our country.

Yurchishin in an interview with RBC-Ukraine “said that in order to block Telegram on the territory of Ukraine, you need to have a clear argument, for example, if an information leak is confirmed, NBN reports.
According to the head of the Committee on Freedom of Speech, the aggressor country probably has some kind of then there is control over the messenger and there is no guarantee that information from there does not get into the Russian secret services.
The deputy noted that Pavel Durov calls himself the owner of Telegram and, despite the fact that he has UAE citizenship, there is no information about his refusal of a Russian passport. Also, stories with the messenger blocking information not in favor of the aggressor country indicate that the entrepreneur’s communication with the Putin regime is likely to continue.
The representative of the Verkhovna Rada added that if Telegram deals a very painful blow to the information security of Ukraine, the authorities will impose sanctions on the messenger.
