A representative of the Ukrainian Navy said on a national telethon that the occupiers are trying to save the remnants of their Russian Black Sea Fleet from Defense Force attacks by naval drones. To do this, the invaders resorted to standard tactics, NBN reports.
Pletenchuk said that the Russians continue to hide their warships in bays, the entry into which they block with sunken barges, attaching booms to them. The speaker of the Navy noted that the “liberators” had previously resorted to similar measures to protect the illegally built Kerch Bridge.
The press officer recalled that the occupiers sank their ships 10 years ago during the seizure of the Crimean Peninsula, to block Ukrainian ships in the bay.
Now, in order to protect its fleet from being hit by naval drones, the enemy has brought the ships to their base in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Territory, closed the entrance to the harbor and erected simple structures as barriers.
Earlier, British intelligence showed footage of the invaders’ attempts to prevent attacks on ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the port of Novorossiysk.
