Almost 30 000 Ukrainians signed a petition calling for the redirection of funds allocated to finance the telethon and the FreeDom channel “, for the purchase of cars and drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports NBN.
The Prime Minister, in his response to the petition, called the redirection of money to the needs of the Defense Forces “inappropriate”, since the state must ensure information security during during the war with Russia and finance appropriate measures.
According to the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, the government of Ukraine is “systematically” working to provide defenders with logistics and other resources, in particular, assistance from allies is being sent to this end. At the same time, the official did not provide the Ukrainians with any specific data to support his words.
Recall that at the beginning of the month, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Freedom of Speech Yaroslav Yurchyshyn admitted the possibility of closing the telethon at the end of the year, naming the conditions for such a step.
