About the fact that the matter concerns some fruits and vegetables, writes NBN, referring to information voiced by the main scientific Inna Salo, employee of the Department of Pricing and the Agricultural Market of the National Scientific Center Institute of Agrarian Economics for 24-Channel.
According to Salo, the first batches of greenhouse vegetables have now begun to arrive on the consumer market, in particular tomatoes, cucumbers, beets and garlic, which, naturally, cost somewhat more than ground varieties.
In addition, the cost of apples is predicted to increase—on average, prices for the fruit will reach 27 hryvnia/kilogram. Also, grapes will become more expensive—up to 28.5 hryvnia/kilogram.
In addition to all of the above, the cost of imported fruit crops will remain consistently high: prices for oranges will rise to 75 hryvnia/kilogram, for lemons to 57 hryvnia/kilogram, for bananas to 70 hryvnia/kilogram , and tangerines—up to 77 hryvnia/kilogram.
Currently, the cost of the above products in the Silpo supermarket chain looks like this:
