The Ukrainian leader said during a press conference that the statements of the country's chief intelligence officer were misunderstood when in a recent interview he spoke about the threat of an offensive by the Russian army from the north, NBN reports.
In the interview To the NV publication, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU, commenting on the threat of Putin’s army advancing to the north of the country, noted that “there are problems, they tend to worsen.” At the same time, Budanov emphasized that there was no catastrophe, but one should not ignore Moscow’s plan to mobilize 300 000 Russians for an offensive in the north and east of Ukraine.
Zelensky noted that after the corresponding statement by the military leader in the media, he called the general, who said that his words were “misunderstood.”
The President, speaking about the offensive of the invaders in the Kharkov region, said that the enemy’s plans in this region had failed. The defense forces stopped the invaders, so the command of the Russian Armed Forces had to pull in the troops that were stationed along the state border in this direction. Thanks to this, the Russians were not able to accumulate a strong group in other areas.
Also at the press conference, the guarantor spoke about possible personnel changes in the government.
