The head of the Latvian Foreign Ministry, before the start of the meeting of the heads of the EU Foreign Ministry, stated that it is necessary to lift all bans on the use of Western weapons by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack targets on the territory of the aggressor country, informs NBN.
According to the diplomat, the Defense Forces should have the ability to strike at the airfields of Putin’s army in the Russian Federation, from which planes take off to bombard Ukrainian cities.
The minister claims that that the removal of all restrictions on the use of Western weapons by defenders does not mean that the Ukrainian side will not adhere to very clear discipline in observing the rules, since it has previously demonstrated exemplary behavior in this matter and has not provoked the situation.
Brage believes that Bans related to Western weapons limit the protection of Ukraine, so they must be lifted.
Earlier, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky called on British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to “show leadership” on the issue of using Western weapons against the aggressor country.
