According to Borrell, Zelensky will continue to look for ways to attract Moscow representatives to this event, since the next step requires the participation of the Russian side. At the same time, the conference should not be held on Putin’s terms.
The head of EU diplomacy noted that hopes should be placed on achieving peace in Ukraine through diplomacy, but negotiations should not be based on the premises put forward by the Kremlin dictator. The diplomat added that the Ukrainian Peace Formula is the only peace plan that is supported by the European Union.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke about the possible participation of Russian representatives in the next Global Peace Summit.
