Hamish de Bretton-Gordon told Channel 24 that, according to the UK Ministry of Defence, Russia has lost over 600,000 occupiers killed in the war against Ukraine. The retired colonel believes that the aggressor country will be able to withstand and constantly replenish these losses for two years, NBN reports.
At the same time, as the former NATO commander notes, Putin's army is facing a problem, sending many inexperienced fighters to the front who only know how to hold a rifle. Therefore, Ukrainian soldiers who are better trained can show themselves more effectively on the battlefield.
The colonel drew attention to the fact that the Russian Federation is not replenishing the occupation forces with representatives of the elite from Moscow and St. Petersburg, but soon it will have to take them to war as well.
Earlier, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny told in London what would be decisive in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
