The Secretary of the Russian Security Council complained that the Ukrainian leadership ignored the “peace proposals” of Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin to settle the war, writes NBN with reference to the Interfax propaganda agency.
According to the former defense minister, two months have passed since Putin's statements, and there is no reaction from Kiev. Shoigu noted that it is supposedly pointless to talk about Volodymyr Zelensky's Peace Formula, the Geneva Convention on Ukraine and other formats. The official explained this by the fact that the negotiation process without the “chief negotiator” does not look very clear.
It should be noted that in June, the head of the Kremlin proposed that Ukraine “give” Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye to Russia, and also refuse to join NATO in order to begin peace talks.
Earlier, Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov spoke about holding negotiations with Ukraine under Zelensky's presidency.
