On Wednesday, August 7, the head of the Kremlin, during a meeting of the Russian Security Council, commented for the first time on the “breakthrough” in the Kursk region, NBN reports with reference to the TASS propaganda agency.
The Russian leader accused the “Kiev regime” of organizing “another large-scale provocation.” According to him, Ukraine allegedly carries out indiscriminate attacks from various types of weapons on civilian infrastructure and ambulances.
The dictator said that after this meeting he is scheduled to meet with the heads of law enforcement agencies on the situation in the Kursk region. In addition, Putin instructed Deputy Head of Government Denis Manturov to immediately take measures to help residents of the border region.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry Speaker Maria Zakharova responded to the fighting in the Kursk region. A spokeswoman for the diplomatic department accused Ukraine of organizing a “terrorist attack.”
