The regional governor Igor Artamonov announced at night that Lipetsk had been attacked by drones, calling on residents to seek shelter in a safe place and not to approach windows. At the same time, local publics reported explosions and flashes in the sky, publishing corresponding videos, NBN reports.
Later, the head of the Lipetsk region reported “detonation of explosive objects far from civilian buildings” in the city. Putin's official also reported damage to an energy infrastructure facility, which resulted in a disruption of the power supply. He warned that the threat of drone strikes remains.
At the same time, Russian media reported that explosions and a fire broke out at the Russian Armed Forces airfield in Lipetsk due to the arrival of a UAV, publishing the corresponding footage.
