As reported by “NBN” with a link to the Facebook account of the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine of Donetsk region, the wife/husband of a combatant, including other family members, is allowed to apply for a 75% discount on utility bills.
Family members of defenders and UBD are granted the right to apply to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, to officials of executive bodies or to the Center for Administrative Offenses to submit an application and appropriate documentation regarding the appointment of benefits for utilities, if the beneficiary is unable to apply independently due to valid reasons (military service, illness, disability, etc.).
To enter data on a beneficiary, legal representative or capable adult member of his family into the State Register, it is necessary to submit to the territorial body of the Pension Fund of Ukraine an application, copies of a package of documents confirming the existence of family ties with the beneficiary/legality of representing his interests/his right to social support.
In particular, the following are family members of a UBD/military serviceman:
- wives/husbands, not excluding minor children (under 18 years of age);
- unmarried adult children who have been recognized as persons with disabilities from childhood of groups 1 and 2 or persons with disability group 1;
- citizens who live together with persons with disability group 1 due to war and who care for them (if the disabled persons are not married);
- disabled mother/father;
- persons under guardianship/trusteeship of citizens entitled to benefits, and who live together with them.
