How NBN reports, citing a statement by Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh, published on the official website of the US Department of Defense, that US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin intends to talk to his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov in the coming days regarding the situation in Kursk region.
According to Singh, Kiev must actually reveal its goals and objectives, “and this is still what” the Pentagon is seeking to hear from the Ukrainian military command, in particular, “how this [the “Kursk Breakthrough”] fits into the strategic operations [of the Ukrainian Armed Forces].”
At the same time, the US Defense Department spokesperson added— Washington's support for Kyiv will remain within unshakable limits, and the Pentagon only wants to know whether Ukraine plans to keep Russian territory under control and beyond.
Singh summed up:
…But we will continue to support Ukraine in its struggle and in everything it needs to succeed.
