Washington does not allow the Defense Forces to attack the “deep” territory of Russia with long-range missiles for rather unpredictable reasons.

As reported by “NBN” with a link to the publication's material Politico, The White House expects a reset in relations with the Kremlin, and therefore does not seek to allow Ukraine to strike Russia, since such actions could “nullify these efforts.”
According to the publication's sources, earlier this month, a bipartisan coalition of Senate representatives organized a meeting with US President Joseph Biden's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, during which they demanded that the White House change its position regarding allowing Ukraine to carry out long-range strikes against Russia before “it is too late.”
However, the above request angered Biden administration officials, who pointed out that the US has done more in supporting Ukraine than any other state, and Washington does not intend to jeopardize its own national security by allowing attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian territory.
