As NBN reports with a link to the official page of the US Department of Defense, Austin once again condemned the strikes by the Russian Federation on critical civilian infrastructure facilities in Ukraine that occurred earlier this week, but did not say a word about lifting the ban on the Ukrainian Armed Forces to carry out strikes with American weapons on remote regions of the terrorist state.
In particular, Austin said that Washington will continue to “lead” allies and partners to meet the key needs of Ukraine's defense potential, emphasizing that “civilians should not be targeted,” and only such steadfastness by our country “will allow it to defeat Putin's aggression and atrocities.”
The head of the US Department of Defense added that the Ukrainian army continues to repel attacks [by the Russian Federation], inflicting significant losses “the second army of the world”, and therefore:
…Have no doubt, the US will not refuse to support a free and sovereign Ukraine.
Earlier we wrote about how the Pentagon commented on the loss of Ukraine's first F-16 fighter.
