Currently, the average salary of a teacher in Ukraine does not exceed 12,000 hryvnia, and, naturally, this is somewhat contrary to the early promises of the authorities.

As NBN reports with reference to the BBC material, the head of the department overseeing education and science, Oksen Lisovoy, reported—the norms of the current legislation on education provide for an increase in the current average salary indicator by two times, but not everything is that simple.
According to Lisovyi, the salaries of teaching staff must increase to three subsistence minimums (about 24,000 hryvnia), with the simultaneous optimization of the process of calculating payments, in order to avoid confusion in numerous allowances, which will make the algorithm more understandable for employees of the educational sector.
However, the above-described positive changes are postponed for now, since the state budget needs, “for starters”, to find free 50-60 billion hryvnia of additional funds.
Lisovyi emphasized:
I won't go on camera to voice the defense costs [of Ukraine], but these monthly expenses will be enough to raise the salaries of all teachers for a year.
Earlier we wrote about the Ministry of Veterans Affairs talking about the salaries of specialists in supporting former military personnel.
