The White House announced yesterday that Ukraine will not be able to hit Russian aircraft with ATACMS missiles, since the aircraft have been redeployed deep into the aggressor country (more than 300 km).

As reported by NBN with reference to the explanation of the deputy speaker of the Pentagon Sabrina Singh, posted on the official page of the US Department of Defense, Washington now prohibits Ukraine from carrying out long-range strikes on the Russian Federation with its weapons not only out of fear of escalating the “conflict”.
According to Singh, an additional negative factor has emerged that justifies such restrictions on the part of the US. In particular, the Pentagon has a very limited number of both ATACMS missiles and identical long-range weapons.
However, the Pentagon deputy speaker expressed the already familiar rhetoric:
And, of course, one thing that we always evaluate is escalation, and this is something we have been very clear about from the very beginning.
At the same time, Singh assured that the Defense Forces are effectively using ATACMS in the eastern and southern parts of Ukraine, where the United States is helping the defenders “direct combat power.”
Earlier we wrote that the Pentagon does not believe that the F-16 in Ukraine was shot down by “friendly fire” from the provided air defense.
