The head of the Donetsk OVA, on the air of the national telethon, said that Vuhledar is not occupied by Russian troops, in its vicinity there are no invaders either, NBN reports.
According to Filashkin, sabotage and reconnaissance groups of Putin's army are trying to break into the city, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces are driving them out.
The official noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces burned a large amount of equipment of the “second army in the world” on the approaches to Ugledar, but, unfortunately, the troops of the aggressor country are advancing.
The head of the Donetsk regional administration reported that about 100 people remain in the city, who mostly refuse to evacuate. It is very difficult to provide civilians with humanitarian aid, since the Russian invaders are shelling all access roads to the settlement.
As reported, ISW analysts commented on the fighting in the Ugledar area, assessing whether the Russian occupation forces will gain an operational advantage if the city is captured.
