During a press conference in Uzhgorod, the head of the Slovak government called on Kyiv to extend the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine. Shmyhal responded to this by saying that the authorities would not extend the relevant agreement with the aggressor state after its expiration, NBN reports.
The head of the Cabinet explained that our country's strategic goal is to impose sanctions on the gas molecule of the terrorist state in order to deprive Moscow of profits from the sale of hydrocarbons, through which it finances the war.
The representative of Kyiv called on all European countries to completely abandon the Kremlin's gas and oil. According to him, the Ukrainian leadership understands the acute dependence of some countries on the “blue fuel” and “black gold” of the Russian Federation, but counts on a gradual diversification of supplies.
Recall that during a meeting with Shmyhal in Uzhgorod, Fico voiced Bratislava's position on Ukraine's integration into the European Union and NATO.
