This year, to retire at 60 years of age and, accordingly, to be eligible for a pension benefit, you must have 31 years of service, and at 63/65 years of age – at least 15 years of the same period.

As reported by NBN with a link to the thematic portal “On Pension”, if a person has not accumulated even 15 years of work/insurance experience, then from the age of 65 he/she will be able to apply only for state social support intended for people who do not have the right to a pension benefit.
In particular, such support is assigned based on 30 percent of the official subsistence minimum (SM) for persons who have lost their ability to work: 2,361 hryvnia x 30 percent = 708.3 UAH. However, the actual amount of such reduced payments cannot be less than the subsistence minimum.
Thus, if an elderly low-income citizen has no other sources of income (it is necessary to prove this to the Pension Fund with documents), then the government will “pull” the amount of financial assistance up to 2,361 UAH.
Earlier, we wrote about the Pension Fund telling us how many long-lived pensioners live in Ukraine.
